On what appears to be an easy layout, you are often wondering why your score is as high as it is after playing a round at Meadowbrook. Plenty of trees, water and hazards could be one reason. Very subtle breaking and sometimes difficult to read greens could be another. A couple of 200+ yd. par threes may be a factor as well. There are some nice shorter par 4's and plenty of longer holes to allow the driver to eat, all of which have areas that can steal your par if you land in them. Great food and beverage at the clubhouse, irons only (most of the time) driving range, nice putting and chipping (with sand bunker) practice greens and a great staff. I'd love to see a discount for frequent players. All in all a great public golf course!

Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing

It's not a bad course overall. Pretty simple layout but the mature trees can play havoc. The back nine is a little marshy, mesquitos can get you. No course marshall. Most of my friends won't play it because of the price and the fact that they are not impressed.
